Welcome to the Nebraska-Iowa 2011-12 Kiwanis year and the NE-IA District website. The foundation of Kiwanis is each and every Kiwanian and this website is designed to meet the needs of every NE-IA Kiwanian. Help us so the website can help you…let me know what you would like to see included on our website.
A year ago on this page, Governor Gus Dornbusch asked you to “stretch to make a difference for children and the communities that they call home – and do it with passion.” Many Kiwanians have done that…our clubs are healthier and stronger and it shows in the number of service projects that have made a difference in the lives of children.
This year I want all NE-IA Kiwanians to continue to “STRETCH” to make a difference and “MAKE CONNECTIONS” by exploring new ways to connect with yourself, your families, your clubs, your communities, fellow Kiwanians and the children.
I am asking all NE-IA Kiwanians to continue to make our clubs healthier and stronger, improve our Kiwanis experience, expand our service….and have FUN doing it!

What if you could save a baby's life?
With The Eliminate Project, you can. Maternal and neonatal tetanus (MNT) kills one baby every nine minutes. But three doses of a 60-cent vaccine can protect mothers and babies. Kiwanis and UNICEF have joined forces to bring this vaccine to 38 countries, eliminating MNT from the face of the Earth. What can you do right now? Learn about MNT and advocate for the cause. Participate in our fundraisers. Over the next few years, the work we do will change the world. Find out more at www.TheEliminateProject.org.
